STERIS Corp. has expanded its line of Finn-Aqua GMP sterilizers to include GMP Bio Pharma Sterilizers (BPS) in multiple sizes, from 66 (26 × 26) to 1821 (72 × 84) cross-sections with various lengths. Options that can be customized are featured in the BPS systems. The series is comprised of sizes ranging from 9.7 cubic feet (0.3 cubic meters) to 294 cubic feet (8.3 cubic meters), each with a choice of sterilization cycle options for hard goods or liquids. All units have a choice of the Allen Bradley or Siemens programmable logic controls. Chamber design, based on the Finn Aqua fully-jacketed vessel, is combined with a new modularized piping and control package. Piping, components, and controls are streamlined to offer reliability. Single and double door (pass-through) configurations are available for all sterilizers along with wall seals to maintain clean room or research biosafety conditions. An optional decontamination cycle can be added to ensure that all effluent from the chamber is sterilized before discharge to the building drain, and select models offer optional integral or independent electric steam generators for facilities without central steam generation. The ValidCycle monitoring system is available as an option to provide ongoing automated and documented verification of compliance for every cycle. A life cycle approach is offered for maintaining ongoing regulatory compliance. Complete factory acceptance testing (FAT) qualification is standard for pre-validating the Finn-Aqua BPS GMP sterilizers before delivery.
